Mission
James (Jim) Griner is a long-time resident of Savannah, Georgia. Jim is 37 years of age and has been in law enforcement since 1993. He is a graduate of
Armstrong Atlantic State University where he earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Criminal Justice. He is also a graduate of Columbus State University where he earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) Degree with a
specialization in Justice Administration. Jim also graduated from the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College and has attended training at the U.S.
Drug Enforcement Administration Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Jim is a Georgia P.O.S.T.(Peace Officer Standards and Training) Council Law
Enforcement Instructor with specializations in Firearms and Defensive Tactics. He is also an Armament Standards and Procedures (ASP) Tactical Baton
Instructor. Jim has worked in patrol, investigations, accreditation/certification, and is currently a K-9 Handler and serves as a Watch Commander for the
Garden City (GA) Police Department. Jim has also served as a drug investigator for the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team (CNT) and as a Task
Force Agent for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Jim extends his services throughout the United States by serving as a contract employee
for the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) that is based in Fairfax, Virginia. Jim is the owner of www.10-8online.com,
LLC - an internet based business for public service professionals. He has been married since 1997 and has a beautiful daughter who is nine years of
age. Jim's wife, Melissa, is a Registered Nurse (RN) and is employed by a Savannah (GA) hospital. She also serves as a business consultant for
10-8online.com, LLC and a board member for Cops C.A.I.R., Inc.
